Note from the Board
Happy October! Many thanks to the 2007/2008 Board for a wonderful year! The new board is now settled in and working diligently to plan another year of fun filled activities.
Speaking of another year, it’s time to renew your membership. If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to complete and send in the enclosed form or visit our website at www.oprfnewcomers.com and click on ‘join us.’ We have lots of great activities planned for this year and we don’t want you to miss out on any of the fun!
What kind of great activities, you ask? Well, our Playgroup Co-Chairs have put together a plethora of choices for the kids this month. For our adult members, we have a Supper Club planned and dinner at La Bella for the ladies. Oh, and let’s not forget our annual Halloween Party. This popular club event is fun for the whole family!

A hearty thanks to Julie LuLu, Lori Himmel, & Victoria Brown-Wipf for providing some much needed courtesy meals to families.
If you know someone who is sick, in the hospital, expecting a baby, just had a baby, etc. please contact Beth Vlerick. She will organize volunteers to provide them with yummy meals. |

ANNUAL BAKE SALE
A big THANKS to everyone for their delicious donations to our annual Bake Sale, and to those who braved the monsoon-like rainstorm at the Oak Park Farmer's Market on September 13th to volunteer their time. The downpour didn't dampen the demand for sweets, and thankfully we were able to accommodate.
Much thanks to Julie Kantor, Keri Burchfield, Sarah Roberts (and her mother's Oatmeal Raisin cookies), Victoria Brown-Wipf, Michelle Moore, Katie Klein, Jen Flynn, Laura O'Shea, Jen McNulty, Denise Roser, Jennifer Umlauf, Joanne Mannhaupt, Emily Hartung, Mary Joyce and Stephanie Martin.
